Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH & Co KG / Hatz Components GmbH at the Ruhstorf site produces customer-oriented drive solutions and components that are at the forefront of the industry in terms of performance, state-of-the-art technology and environmental friendliness and will continue to pursue this goal in the long term. Environmental, energy and sustainability aspects as well as occupational health and safety are therefore among the core responsibilities of our corporate activities in terms of production and product portfolio.
At the Hatz Group, occupational health and safety is equivalent to other corporate principles and is deeply rooted in the corporate culture. The aim is to act proactively and prevent reportable accidents at work. The topics of energy and sustainability are very closely linked to resource planning in order to be able to continuously monitor and adapt objectives. We at Hatz also see climate neutrality as a social and ecological responsibility and are therefore aiming for climate neutrality at Hatz by 2050.

Our high-performance development and testing facilities are designed to guarantee sustainable and energy-efficient business and are equipped with the necessary technologies accordingly. Special consideration is given to public debate and technical developments in the field of diesel technology - here the focus is on the development of promising application and drive options. Legal product requirements in conjunction with the wishes of the customer segmentation we focus on are the premise.
Legal regulations relating to energy, the environment and sustainability as well as occupational health and safety are binding for all employees. They are closely integrated into the subject areas and involved in the planning and development process. Providing information and raising awareness play a major role here.
Programs are systematically and continuously installed for the technical and organizational improvement of the company with regard to the environment, energy, sustainability, occupational health and safety, and their performance is evaluated. The focus is on: Energy conservation, water protection and modernization of technical facilities based on applicable regulations. In the area of occupational health and safety, technical protective measures are given higher priority. Production and site maintenance should - taking into account the possibilities of the property - comply with the valid conditions of an environmentally and occupationally safe working environment.
The environmental impact, risks and opportunities are assessed for new products and production facilities, particularly in order to save raw materials and energy and reduce emissions. Economic, legal and market-oriented requirements define the framework conditions here.

The integrated management system is continuously monitored and adapted to the circumstances. Any lack of functionality and weaknesses, particularly in the areas of communication and practical applicability for users with other core competencies, are to be critically reviewed and adapted on an ongoing basis. Legal conformity is always checked and deviating conditions are adapted promptly.
