The extremely compact way of high-end power generation

The flywheel-integrated permanent magnet generator (fiPMG) is suitable for use in hybrid systems, as an emergency generator or for continuous power supply. As a very compact and lightweight solution, the Hatz fiPMG integrates user-friendly into machine design.

Extremely compact solution for hybrid battery charging

The fiPMG technology from Hatz can be combined with the single-cylinder engines 1B30E and 1B50E. The generator-engine combinations are available in
vertical and horizontal designs. Since the generator is integrated into the flywheel of the engine, the fiPMG solution is only three kilograms heavier and 35 millimeters longer than the original engine.
Conventional flange-mounted generators are about 350 millimeters long and weigh around 20 kilograms. With an average efficiency of 85 percent, permanent magnet generators are also extremely efficient.

Key Facts fiPMG

The fiPMG is 85% lighter than conventional generators thanks to the flywheel-integrated approach. It also requires only 10% of the installation space compared to flange-mounted generators.
Thanks to Hatz E1 technology, the fiPMG generators can be integrated into fleet management systems.
In combination with the Hatz 1B30E and 1B50E engines, the fiPMG variants are certified according to EU Stage V as well as the US Tier 4 final standard.

Flexible application possibilities

Wherever power outages contribute to damage to machinery or potentially dangerous situations, fiPMG technology is a reliable and robust solution to prevent these scenarios.

The fiPMG technology offers advantages in a variety of application fields, such as

  • a battery charger, e.g. in crane applications

  • On-board chargers for e-drives, e.g. in elevating platforms

  • as backup system for solar-powered construction site infrastructure
