Interfaces to the control unit allow for data exchange at any time. Data transfer in both directions serves both the analysis of engine data and the uploading of new data, such as predefined engine speeds or software updates.

Core Component of the E1 Technology: The Control Unit
Continuous measurements, such as engine speed and fuel injection, provide precise data about the engine's load condition.
In addition to engine control, the control unit provides engine-relevant data via CAN J1939. For example, usage duration and load or engine condition and service needs can be easily read. This interface also provides a convenient way to analyze the engine using the HDS² diagnostic tool.
